Hi!
I'm Caroline T. Shaw (hence the name of my art website). I'm an artist from the beautiful Isle of Portland which gives me so much inspiration. From the stunning sunsets to amazing seascapes.
After retiring from nursing I decided to pursue life as an Artist. I have always loved to paint and draw since early childhood. My grandmother encouraged me as a child after she was amazed with a drawing I had done of her poodle dog at a very young age! My art teacher at college in my late teens taught me to see colour in everything which has always remained with me.
I moved to Portland from Hampshire in 2019 and have pursued my dream. I am still learning my craft and presently mainly work in acrylic paint. I love to paint the natural world and the spiritual. I often add metallic paints to my work which enhances the painting in light.
